It was Stolen.. You Tube.. and the bloody tide in Iraq.. and other comments from your favorite True Republican

It has been so long since I have posted. I know it is really no excuse, but I have been busy. But more to the point I have been sulking.. And this week since it is now inevitable the dems have taken over both my senate and my house, of which I thought ( among so many of us true republicans) we would never lose. I mean we had bought and paid for our government many times over. It was like somebody came in the night and stole it from us.

Last few weeks I thought we were going to get at least the senate back,, but that old fart didn’t die.. he's just a vegetable.. so he can still stay in the senate.. non voting but it gives the dems the place with one vote.. but we have a guy posted outside his hospital room and we know his blood pressure and brain wave activity better than his own doctors do. And the second it goes flat line.. we will take over.. so we are praying for the white light in the corner of the room. Sounds a little cold. but politics is a dirty and heartless business. And besides this election was stolen.. mmm sounds vaguely familiar, yes.. rings a bell. ( that reminds me of very long joke.. which ends with .. "His face certainly rings a bell".. but I have promised I would never tell it again)

But this week is marked with the passing of Saddam.. wow what a total CF that was.. I saw the whole thing on the net, as did the world.. camera phones.. what an amazing invention. Now everyone can record the events of the day at any time. I saw it on YouTube.. (Factoid: every day enough is loaded on this site that would take you a life time to view. well certainly more than I could ever watch.) But what the film showed despite, historically bad camera work, was the utter chaos this country is in. What do we think we are going to do. I know this guy was bad, corrupt, despotic, a sadist and a pervert.. but he kept that country together. There might be a word but you would have to invent it, that might come close to describing Iraq now.. chaos is not strong enough, anarchy may even suggest some level of organization but in Iraq they are actually losing any level of cohesion. And yet we are now in the midst of calling up and sending in tens of thousands of new troops. A surge they call it.. like a tide.. it rolls in but will it eventually roll out.. Doubtful. My question..how much more blood do you have to see seep into the dirt and gravel, shards and bits of what were cities, before we realize the tide, this bloody red tide, is not worth the price we are asked to pay. I am just glad it’s not my son. I guess it must be yours, and apparently your ok with that. My son’s are doing something important.. making money.

I am back in this new year. and I will observe and comment.. and perhaps the white light will open in the corner of the hospital room and we can pull the Senate back home, .. we paid for it.. it's ours.

as always,

me first
